What is a .Gives collection hub?

The role of a collection hub is to primarily act as a local drop off point where supporters can bring their filled food boxes, medical aid or other aid items.

How does a collection hub operate?

The hub can specify when they are open to receive aid and whether the supporters need to call ahead to drop off their aid, allowing flexibility. We also encourage a collection hub to store a small quantity of the flat packed boxes (for food box donations specifically) so they can to give to supporters when they drop off their food boxes.

Depending on space, when the hub is ready to return the collected boxes, we can arrange for a volunteer driver to come and pick them up, or, if you have the means, you can bring them back to us in Swindon. Each hub can decide what works best for them. To book collections from the UK office, you will need to have collected more than 10 boxes or bags of aid items in storage.

Once you have signed up, you will appear on our collection hub map (preview here) alongside your address and contact details.

Can you help?

The goal as we grow .Gives is to have collection hubs in every major every city and town to make it easier for supporters to get their aid items back to us.
