Subusisiwe, a mother of 2 children, was abandoned by her husband after he had given her HIV. She said, "He left for work one day, and he never returned; I looked for him everywhere but couldn't find him.'
Abandoned and suffering from HIV and malnutrition, Subusisiwe struggled to look after her children. Her lack of healthy food heightened the severity of her condition, and the intense side effects left her bedridden.
Subusisiwe said, "The first day I had e'Pap, I slept nicely, and when I woke up, I was full of energy." She is thankful to God for being there in her time of need.
Through our food.gives programme Barnabas Aid sends ePap from South Africa to Zimbabwe. Just 12p a day provides Subsusisiwe with her helping of ePap, which contains vitamins, minerals and protein – essential for brain development and to fight infections.
Barnabas is sending over 400 tonnes of ePap to four countries in southern Africa, enough to restore health to 200,000 malnourished children and adults.
Barnabas Aid provides practical help for suffering and persecuted Christians in over 100 countries: from Christians, through Christians, to Christians. www.barnabasfund.org
